Growing up amidst the landscapes of Costa Rica, I witnessed firsthand the integral role coffee plays in our daily routines. From the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the morning to the soothing cup shared with friends in the afternoon, coffee isn't just a drink—it's a ritual deeply ingrained in our culture.

Costa Rica, renowned for its biodiversity and sustainable practices, has long been celebrated for its delicious coffee. However, as climate change looms larger, I couldn't ignore the challenges faced by coffee production and the livelihoods of coffee farmers. Decreasing yields, tougher crops—these were clear signs that our beloved beverage was under threat.

I wondered if it would be possible to ensure a future where coffee remains accessible to all while adapting to climate conditions? Turns out, with enough creative fermentation, crop substitutes, and the perfect team of coffee geeks, you can.
